KWK Events is owned and operated by Karen Kelly, who has lived in Red River for eleven years. For the past six years, she has provided wedding planning services to brides whenever and wherever they desire. Once, she organized a January wedding on the bridge behind the conference center. That day turned out to be -16 degree outside.

Karen is originally from Montana, and has worked in the resort industry for many years, as well as for the Red River Chamber of Commerce around ten years ago, and for the Red River Ski Area after that.

She still loves what she does, even after working in the wedding business for over 30 years. Six years ago, she was ready to leave the resort world and focus on her passion - being a wedding planner. She prides herself on being available to her clients 24/7. It's part of what she loves most. "I'm always there for them," she says.

KWK Events employs around 25 seasonal staff, with 90% of her revenue going back into the community and the Enchanted Circle. In addition to all of the contractors needed for her weddings, she says new event coordinators will soon be joining her team.

She has been a proud member of the Red River Chamber of Commerce for six years.
